The History Channel is showing Band of Brothers, and though I haven't been watching non-stop all weekend, I know for sure that it was on yesterday, and I just finished watching episodes 9 & 10 with my boys. They will start showing it again at 3p.m. eastern time.
Band of Brothers is powerful stuff. You'd have to have a heart of stone and a cold soul not to cry at certain points.
If you get a chance, why not sit down, and watch an episode or two? Though it's true that it'd be better to watch it from the beginning, I became hooked on the series two years ago while Rob was watching episode 7, the Battle of the Bulge, and have managed to watch all but the first two episodes since, and not in order, either. You can catch on pretty quickly who is who and really, if you don't know your WWII history so as to know what's going on, then shame on you.
So maybe, take an hour, maybe two, and watch? And think, really think of the sacrifices made and send a silent Thank You heavenward, as well.

Another terrific and thoroughly moving special was Iwo Jima: Red Blood, Black Sand on PBS. Definitely worth watching if it airs again.
