I received Queen's Greatest Hits Platinum Collection and A Night at the Opera for my birthday, and have been listening to them almost non stop while driving to work, when not indulging in my passion for talk radio. Nothing can compare to not only Freddie Mercury's voice, but the way they ALL sounded together. The operatic synchronicity they created, and the way that Roger Taylor hit those high notes? Just WOW. It's a damn shame that Freddie had to leave this earth far too early.
And, no, to be fair I haven't heard Queen with Paul Rodgers yet, but....I just can't do it. For me, it's just not right. I mean, I like the song All Right Now that he did with Free, and he has a good voice( though Radioactive with The Firm really stunk) ...but nope, he and Queen together just isn't working for me.
~ terrific Queen tunes? Fat Bottom Girls and "39", to name only two.

I love Queen, I have my original LP still, no cd yet. And I have the 45 of All Right Now by Free. When listening to it when we were younger we were always trying to figure out if they were using the "f" word in the song or not!

Do you still have all your Osmonds albums? I remember standing on top of the pool table and singing along to Crazy Horses or Going Back to Utah....I'm sure Dad loved the fact I used the nice pool table as my personal stage.

Yeah, I think Dad was pretty ticked about the pool table, but gave up after awhile.( and don't tell anyone; I used it as a stage, too) You'll have to check with Nancy or Kathy on the Osmond albums..but I haven't heard Crazy Horses in like, forever!

Let me go on record as saying I never used the pool table for a stage. I just remember all the blue dots on the (low) ceiling from playing pool.
I'm not sure if I still have any of the Osmond (Partridge Family, Bobby Sherman)records, around 1980 when I had the apartment in Brockton we played frisbee with them at a party. I'm mad at myself for doing that now. I still love Donny Osmond, I admit it. And Marie because she always seemed so "normal" not "Hollywood" but I saw a picture of her with a face lift and she looked like Joan Rivers.

Have you seen Donny in the new Sprint ads? Man, he has aged WELL!! Who's better looking, Donny or David Cassidy?( and I still remember those stickers on the doorknobs that had David's face in a heart, with S.W.A.K. written underneath)
