IMHO...
here are my picks for the top five female vocalists EVER:
1) Judy Garland-her voice can make me well up, I swear, a truly one of a kind, she was.
2) Cass Elliot- the Mama's and the Papa's would've been shit without her.
3) Debbie Harry- oh so femine, even giry-girl at times, but there is no mistaking the raw sexuality lurking not too far below the surface of her voice.
4) Chrissie Hynde- powerful is putting it mildly.
5) Dusty Springfield- her pipes had a huskiness that was rather unusual for her time, but most welcome nonetheless.
