Why?

~because lilacs are my absolutely favorite flower.
~because the first sight of them ranks right up there with hearing those peepers for the first time.
~ because I am suffering from a wicked case of spring fever.
And lastly, beause I have had a day full of news that has really rankled me, and I need to detox for the evening, so what better way than ......Lilacs!!!
