How Does.....
~one stop worrying so much about things that may NEVER happen?
~one stop 'thinking too much'?
~one stop assuming what another is thinking, and by doing so creating a problem that wasn't there in the first place?
~one build on an already healthy case of self-esteem to achieve the above issues?
ANY help/guidance with this would be GREATLY appreciated!
*remember- even a slightly warped mind is a terrible thing to waste. Won't you please help?

I think you ahve to accept that you simply cant. I think thats real important. once you do that then maybe those thingss happen?
Can't change?
yeah you cant. you cant change yoursellf and you cant change others. I think it was Paul Simon who wrote (I know he sang it) in The Boxer the lines "After changes upon changes we are more or less the same . . . . " I think that is so right.
I think that a person CAN change themselves, maybe not a complete transformation, but I do think that they can imrove in bits. I guess I just need to find the answers from deep inside, or maybe from the guy upstairs..I dunno, I'm so confused!
I think your issues are pretty much like most everyone else's issues. Oh,some put on a great front of trusting everything will be hunky dory. They don't seem to have any problems. But everyone has fears and worries. I think it's more a matter of degree of worry and thinking the worst.
The fear or worry does not stop whatever may happen. But it sure makes the present miserable. I do think many people have a belief that if they worry hard enough, whatever it is they are worrying about won't happen-or at the least they won't be surprised by it. Has that ever worked? Probably not.
Turn those worries into prayers and there is/can be a sense of relief. Because at that point, you pretty much have to concede that you are powerless to control people or events.
That in itself is half the battle against worry.
Yiu know why I love you, Peggy? Your reply to me says it all- thank you!!!!
