The Bully - early Sunday Mornin'

Graffiti and all, it's still a great, great place for a walk. And early spring is the best, for that's when the rabbits start appearing, the robins are abundant, and the red-winged blackbirds are playing some of my favorite tunes!(sorry about the sideways birches)

Permanent..

at least for 8 months or so. Now that the hair has relaxed and the 'poodle' affect is gone, I am pleased. Why'd I do it? Well, seems that peri-menopause it playing games with my hair. It's still uber-thick and dry, but my natural wave seems to have gone on hiatus, and I need to wash it almost daily now, as opposed to my twice weekly past routine. So curls just makes it all soooooooooo much easier to deal with! Long live low maintanence hair!

Bears Repeating..

plus a new one from good ole crazy George and James Joyce(my second favorite hard to decipher Irishman)

“A man's errors are his portals of discovery.”
James Joyce

“Watch what people are cynical about, and one can often discover what they lack.”

“Don't tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their ingenuity."

AVON

Yep, I signed on as a rep today!
Ever bought Avon products before and lost contact with your rep?
Ever thought of trying Avon but couldn't find a rep?
Do you remember Avon from your Mom getting it years ago, and was curious as to how it has kept up with the times, maybe wondered if it has? Well it has-I jsut received some mascara and lipstick that I ordered online, and honestly...good stuff, and yes, comparable to what you'd pay in stores. So... why not go here- www.youravon.com/cbrewer0030 and try me as your rep??
Take a look see, spread the word, and help a fledgling businesswoman, whydontcha.
You can order via my website, or give me a call(email me for the number) and we can meet up in person.
Thanks for a-lookin'!!

Only 19 days.....

till opening day...YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Prayers out to Patrick Swayze...

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,335210,00.html
and his family- so very sad.
And please, don't tell me that 'plenty of people are stricken with cancer daily, why is Swayze so special, why should he get all the attention and sympathy??'
I KNOW that cancer strikes everyone daily, from CEO'S to movie stars to the mother of four who lives two towns away, and regardless of whom is stricken, it is ALWAYS sad and such a tragic loss. It's just that Joe Blue-Collar who may be struggling with some form of cancer isn't in the limelight, and therefore the national press, as is Swayze. Are we not allowed to feel sympathetic for another human being who is facing a damn tough time because he happens to be famous?
And furthermore, just because I am praying for Swayze and his family doesn't mean that I in any way feel some sort of attachment or familiarity towards him; a ditz I can be, but a nut job, I am not!

Shame, SHAME on Julie (Genghis)Kahn and Jason Wolfe and WRKO...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VPnpobKG_4

I almost cried this day. Mo was let go ON AIR.... seriously, he found out about his 'relocation' with literally minutes left with his show! What a classy (NOT!!!)way to treat a guy who had given WRKO 25 years of excellent programming!
I still listen to WRKO, as I love Howie , Reese and Rush, but if any /all of the aforementioned jump ship, I will go, also. I have already replaced Tommy Taxes Finneran with music and Michael Graham(WTKK) . Finneran's Forum is boring, and the sanctimonious drivel that spews from 'the speaker's' mouth is intolerable. He's an ass-kissing, megalomaniacal waste of air time, and to be perfectly honest, if it weren't for his uber-talented producer Rich Teeter, his show would have already been dumped. I doubt WRKO will wake up , but again, thank goodness for Howie, Reese and Rush!
Check out www.issuesoftheday.com if you're so inclined, to keep abreast of Mo's musings. He's a talent that shouldn't be passed by.
